<フィリピンのアミィさん>
現在、本学では「保健人材開発―地方村落における地域保健―」を目的としたJICA集団研修が行われており、世界各国から14名の保健医療従事者が参加しています。そこで、第10回ランチョンミーティングは、研修員であるソロモン諸島のマイケルさん（Mr. LARUI Michael）とフィリピン共和国のアミィさん（Ms. ABULENCIA Amelia）より自国における保健医療の現状と課題についてご発表いただきました。
ソロモン諸島は、6つの主要な島と900の小さな島々で構成され、言語は120種類もある多様性に富んだ国だそうです。マイケルさんは保健省に勤務されており、国全体の保健医療に関わる政策立案や予算編成などを行っています。保健医療施設の老朽化や医療従事者の能力開発の必要性など、現在ソロモン諸島が直面している問題についてお話しくださいました。
アミィさんは、フィリピン共和国のルソン島北部で、担当地域の保健医療を管理する政府の仕事に従事されています。アミィさんは保健医療問題の中でも特に看護教育における問題についてお話しくださり、看護師の過剰な育成と低い就職率（フィリピン国内）、看護教育にかかる費用の増加と育成した看護師が海外へ流出している現状について知ることができました。
お二人とも、最後は自国の課題解決に向けて本集団研修で何を学んで帰りたいかということを具体的に語ってくださいました。研修員の方々の目的意識の高さと、研修への意気込みを感じ、私たちも刺激を受けることができました。
On March 1st, students, faculty and JICA trainees from 14 countries gathered during lunch time to listen to the presentations of Ms. Amelia Abulencia MD (Philippines) and Mr. Michael Larui RN (Solomon Islands). Both presenters are attending a 5-week JICA training program on Human Resource Development currently being held at our college.
They reported on the current health situation and challenges in their respective countries and expressed their interest in learning from the Japanese experience and from the field visits included in their program.
The Solomon Islands confronts economic and geographic issues that add to the lack of health facilities and limit the capacity to educate health professional. However, the country is developing new policies that may bring improvement in the short term.
Nurse migration was mentioned as one of the major problems confronted by the Philippines and fostered by lack of posts and low remunerations for the nurse professional.
JICA trainees will be in our college until the 11th of March. We look forward to their activities upon their return to their countries.
