Philosophy and purpose of graduate school

The purpose of this graduate school is to achieve the ideal humanitarian mission of the Red Cross which is the founding spirit of this college, to teach and research theory and expertise widely related to nursing practice, education and research as the center of science, to foster advanced nursing professionals with deep academic knowledge and outstanding sensitivity and humanity and to contribute to the improvement of the health and welfare of people around the world and the creation of affluent lives through the development of nursing science.

Purpose of graduate school

1)The master’s program aims to teach deep academic knowledge from a broad perspective, and to cultivate humanity and high expertise as a researcher or a nurse who requires a high degree of specialization in nursing science.

2)The latter three-year doctoral course requires students to carry out research activities as a nursing researcher and to cultivate the advanced research expertise and the broad and rich academic knowledge that is the basis for engaging in other highly specialized tasks.

Educational goals of graduate school

The educational goal is to develop specialists in the field of nursing who study diverse interdisciplinary health needs based on the humanitarian philosophy of the Red Cross, and to foster nursing specialists who can create and practice theories and techniques that meet social needs related to health, medical care, and welfare inside and outside Japan.
